I’M REALLY SORRY BUT THIS JUST HAS GOT TO BE DONE.

I laughed for an entire minute with tears in my eyes when I saw the first panel. I managed a laugh too when I saw the one on the second, but really, the first is just priceless.

Let me introduce you to two of the works of Kago Shintaro, a mangaka known for his horror creations. In my honest and sincerest opinion, this man is crazier than Junji Ito (creator of Uzumaki, and NO, he’s definitely not associated with Uzumaki Naruto. If you want a sneak peek of his works, you can easily Google some images and see a world beyond a normal person’s imagination, that is, if you don’t know him yet. The guy’s freaking popular.). Junji Ito, in his works, have his normal characters realize that there is something insanely wrong occurring. However, in Kago Shinatro’s works, the most surreal of things are treated normally, and one cannot really decide if he’s going to be horrified, disgusted, amused, or horny. I have already read plenty (planning to read all tonight) of his oneshots and noticed that erotica is almost always involved. But don’t worry because even if you get caught reading them, they wouldn’t think you’re off to Wonderland since the sex drawings are iffy. Plus, you’ll be more confused than really thinking about Wonderland (Drunkard Combo Syndrome).

The man’s really creative. The man’s a genius. He dares to draw manga about a manga but in a non-conventional way (Abstraction & The Memory of Others) and to feature several taboos as if they’re the most mundane things in the world (Kijin Gahou).

I recommend his works. You’ll never find anything like them. I think Junji Ito’s works are scarier, but I can’t really ignore the uniqueness of Kago Shintaro’s creations.

EDIT: Oops. I should have mentioned that it is not good for those who are easily nauseous. =P
