Spring 2011 Anime Chart ~created by Cowboybibimbop
Now is the time to decide which I anime I shall be following in the next season!:] Seeing the failure that this anime season has been for me, where I only attempted to follow a single series and failed, I am determined to let the next season pull me out of this hiatus and aimless spiritual wandering. I don’t know if it has something to do with my busy schedule (READ: cheering practice), laziness (since I wasn’t able to follow ‘em from the start, I lost the will to catch up since I don’t like having anime marathons if they’re not on DVD) or lack of interesting material (Gintama raised my standards), but for weeks at end, I haven’t watched a single anime episode. Dramatic as it may seem, but I felt as if I’m not who I used to be. I already dropped my animanga blogging to a near nil level, but to stop watching it altogether… is quite confounding. So in order to hype myself up, I am listing the titles which I would most probably watch (or at least check out) in the next season. These decisions would be based entirely on the summaries provided by the chart, so vaguely written, cliche, booby or substandard plots will be scratched from my list only temporarily. If I decide to check them out will depend on how fast a series creates its own fan base. This is actually how I knew Durarara!!:D Imagine if I didn’t watch it because of its boring-sounding series preview. (But then, if I think about it, it really is hard to come up with a proper summary of that show without spilling to much.)
- Gintama- Undoubtedly the first on my list! No words could describe how much my sister and I are looking forward to April just because of this: this little ray of sunshine and mayonnaise-flavored drool in our lives. Hyping ourselves up at the possibility that there would be more of Takasugi and Kamui in this season. And yes, if there are no major arcs, those stupid one-episode stories could still make us happy and all giggly. I’m not even exaggerating.
- Nichijou- The story looks weird enough to be interesting, and honestly, the image caught me. The art style’s really cute and I feel a hint of idiocy from the girl. Teehee.
- Hen Zemi- The phrase “Abnormal Psychology” got me.
- Toriko- WTF HAHAHAHA. This show is about cooking?! Really?!:))
- Steins;Gate- I thought it was a typographical error: the semi-colon right there. Anyway, I haven’y seen Chaos;Head yet so I don’t know if being in the same setting is good or not, but I think it’s worth a try. Or should I watch Chaos;Head first? The only thing I know about Chaos;Head is that it tackles psychology.
- Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko- Crossing my fingers that this isn’t some cousin-related ecchi since the general plot interests me (aliens!) and I am no way in favor of incest. (Yaoi yes, incest no.)
- Ao no Exorcist- I’ve heard of this before.
- [C] The Money of Soul and the Possibility Control- This better not disappoint me, as I already am disappointed with my financial status, because this focus on money is a bit new to me. Well, I’m not really sure if it really is all about money, but the summary gave off a vibe that is similar to Liar Game, which is honestly a tough act to follow. It looks like it will deviate from reality though basing on the image.
- Deadman Wonderland- I already read a few chapters of its manga and I am quite impressed. Flying bodies all around ho-ho-ho merry and morbid and Battle Royale.
- OVA/OAD/ONA/Specials: xxxHolic Rou Adayume
